Adult Protective Services Specialist I/II

Receive and investigate allegations of abuse, neglect, exploitation, and self-neglect against incapacitated adults in Nowata, Vinita, or Pryor, Oklahoma. Conduct complete assessments to determine appropriate interventions, make collateral contacts to gather case history, and coordinate voluntary or involuntary service plans. Prepare legal forms, attend court hearings, provide testimony, and serve as temporary guardians when ordered by the court. Perform independent investigations, follow up on ongoing cases, and involve families and caregivers in developing service plans. Maintain required car insurance for extensive travel and apply self-protection techniques throughout the role.
