Job Summary
Adult Peer Support Specialist Jade (3rd Shift) provides peer counseling and consultation to clients and families, serving as a mentor and liaison to community resources. The role includes offering recovery-focused support, validation, empowerment, and collaboration with the treatment team; facilitating individual and group activities; documenting progress; and ensuring confidentiality while complying with Kentucky regulations. Requires experience with mental illness populations, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a shift setting with clients in recovery and social integration activities.
Required Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field; OR at least 2 years paid or volunteer work experience with adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses
- Valid KY Driver’s license and clean driving record
- Current CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of beginning employment
- Peer Specialist Certification strongly preferred or ability/willingness to obtain certification within 6 months of employment
