Adult Outreach Worker

Job Summary
Provide direct, intensive outreach services to Baltimore County residents experiencing homelessness in various settings, including encampments, streets, and community areas. Maintain a person-centered approach while linking clients to requested resources and collaborating with community providers to establish professional networks. Complete detailed documentation of services and submit reports monthly, quarterly, and annually, entering data into HMIS as required. Perform Outreach Center coverage bi-weekly and ensure compliance with agency policies, fiscal regulations, and payroll deadlines. Requires a valid Maryland driver's license, daily driving, and ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree
- Valid Maryland Driver's License with a clean driving record (less than one point)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, the internet and other computer applications
- Ability to respect individual choice
- Commitment to serving the homeless population
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at once
- Flexibility
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Daily driving
- Standing
- Lifting up to 25 pounds
- Working outside in all types of weather year-round
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with a major in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, or Education
- Experience working with special populations
