Adult Emergency Department Tech Hybrid Day Shift

Job Summary
Obtain accurate vital signs, perform 12-lead EKGs, and collect and test specimens including blood, urine, and stool. Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transport via wheelchair or stretcher to various locations. Provide safe patient mobilization, lifts, transfers, and positioning while maintaining body alignment and comfort. Administer simple wound preparations, dressings, and ortho splinting as directed by the RN. Monitor equipment alarms, respond to call lights, and round patients hourly to report observations. Maintain the patient care area, distribute linen and supplies, and stock carts for IV, GYN, ENT, and lac procedures. This role supports the OHSU Emergency Department, a Level 1 Trauma Center providing multidisciplinary care across the lifespan. The position requires one year of recent emergency department experience, EMT/CNA/MA certification, and phlebotomy skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- One year recent experience (within the past 5 years) providing patient care in an emergency department or similar setting
- EMT, CNA or MA certification, or equivalent education
- BLS upon hire
- Phlebotomy certification or equivalent experience

- Associate degree
