Job Summary
Provide individualized instruction in Language Arts, math, science, and social studies for GED Exam preparation or entry into career and post-secondary education. Deliver lessons at St. Benedict Learning Center in Erie, PA, with instructional time from 9:00 to 11:30 am on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, including additional hours for prep, professional development, and student support. The Northwest Tri-County IU5 Adult Education Program seeks part-time instructors to serve adult learners. Retired teachers are encouraged to apply.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required from an accredited post-secondary institution or equivalent foreign credential
- Instructors that are teaching high school level mathematics, must have a secondary math teaching certification or a bachelor's degree or higher
Desired Qualifications
- Current valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate preferred
- Teaching experience preferred
- Knowledge of Adult Education and College and Career Readiness Standards
- Experience working with ESL (English as a Second Language) students
