Job Summary
Provide safe, timely transportation for Adult Day Service (ADS) members to and from the center, assisting with mobility and ensuring passenger safety and dignity. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, comply with Illinois Vehicle Code and program standards, monitor ADS participants, and maintain custody and safe operation of vehicles during transport. Split shift (3 hours in the morning, 3 hours in the afternoon) with part-time schedule; duties include boarding/exiting passengers, using seat belts and mobility devices, and ensuring participant well-being during transport.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Illinois driver’s license appropriate to the size and type of vehicle operated
- Certification in CPR and First Aid
