Adult Day Program Mental Health Group Leader

Job Summary
Create and implement group curricula aligned with treatment plans to maintain a safe, respectful, and therapeutic environment that encourages peer support and skills acquisition. Identify high-risk situations, follow escalation protocols, and provide trauma-informed responses during crisis calls while collaborating with clinical staff for safe admissions. Document group attendance, progress notes, and standardized assessments in accordance with Medicaid Community Health regulations, HIPAA, and accreditation standards. Communicate promptly with clients, families, and staff regarding schedules and progress while ensuring confidentiality. This full-time role requires a Bachelor's degree in psychology or social work, one year of experience with serious mental illness, and a valid Florida driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, human services, or a related field
- Education from an accredited school, college, or university
- At least one year of human services experience working with individuals with serious mental illness or co-occurring disorders
- Valid Florida driver's license
- Auto insurance
- Own transportation vehicle
- Pass a Level 2 background check
- Pass a drug screen
