Job Summary
Provide screening, assessment and crisis intervention services via telehealth to adult community members referred by local police; determine the appropriate level of care and least restrictive setting; provide transitional support, advocacy and care coordination in-person and/or via telehealth until ongoing treatment is initiated or resumed; respond to crisis calls during on-call hours and participate in after-hours coverage as schedules allow; deliver crisis intervention and ongoing mental health treatment to ABH clients, including those on active Assisted Outpatient Treatment orders; work primarily in-office or via telehealth with flexible scheduling; require a Master’s degree and state licensure, plus credentials (CAADC, SATS) within specified timeframes; proficiency in trauma-informed care, engagement with clients with serious mental illness and/or substance use disorders, and strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills; use technology effectively and maintain culturally competent, nonjudgmental practice; location is Southgate, MI, United States; compensation includes salary starting at $53,079 with comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or Counseling
- State licensure (LLMSW, LLPC, TLLP, LMSW, LPC or LLP) within 60 days of hire
- CAADC credential or active MCBAP Development Plan within six weeks of hire
- Must obtain the Qualified Mental Health Professional and SATS credentials within 120 days of hire
- Must have the ability to engage adults diagnosed with serious mental illness and/or substance use disorders
- Must be able to use technology competently and communicate effectively
- Nonjudgmental approach with cultural competency and sensitivity to diverse populations
