Job Summary

Deliver specialist Speech and Language Therapy assessments, diagnoses, and interventions for adults with communication and swallowing disorders. Manage a varied community caseload by creating evidence-based treatment plans tailored to individual needs, including specific dysphagia assessments aligned with national guidelines. Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues to support patient rehabilitation and maintain accurate clinical records per HCPC standards. Contribute to service development and attend team meetings as required. This three-month locum contract at Ribbleton Clinic, Preston, offers full-time or part-time options at £24.00–£27.50 per hour for a Band 6 therapist with dysphagia competencies.

Required Qualifications

  • A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent)
  • HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist
  • Membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT)
  • Previous experience working at Band 6 level within an adult community setting
  • Dysphagia competencies and experience managing adults with swallowing disorders
  • Experience assessing and treating adults with communication difficulties
  • Excellent communication, organisational and clinical reasoning skills
