Job Summary
Adult Attendant Care Worker provides goal-directed support and solution-focused interventions to clients with SED/SPMI, assisting with treatment plan goals and crisis management. Responsibilities include aiding access to community-based resources (including transportation), implementing tasks related to treatment plan goals, collaborating with community partners, advocating for services and benefits, supporting family members, and timely documentation in the electronic medical record. Services include Attendant Care, PSRI, and possibly Peer Support; role involves direct support in community settings and adherence to clinician-prescribed activities. Requires MOAB training, an associate degree in a behavioral health field (preferred), valid driver’s license, ability to lift/carry weights, and strong communication skills in English.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree preferred in behavioral health fields (clinical psychology, social work, counseling, nursing, rehabilitation, or related)
- MOAB training certification required
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (spoken and written)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds occasionally
- Ability to move freely in the community and in various settings
- Complete documentation in electronic medical records (EMR) in a timely manner
- Proven ability to work with individuals with mental illness or addiction
- Willingness to participate in in-person/in-person training (MOAB and other trainings)
