Job Summary
Diesel Technician for Ashley in Redlands, CA who will build and maintain a fleet of trailers. Responsibilities include performing routine maintenance and inspections on trailers (brakes, lights, tires, suspension), diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, conducting DOT inspections to ensure safety and compliance, maintaining service records, welding and fabrication as needed, replacing doors/hardware/flooring, servicing refrigeration units on temperature-controlled trailers if applicable, and coordinating with the transportation team to minimize downtime. Requires strong knowledge of diesel engine diagnostics, air brake systems, electrical systems, and trailer components; proficiency with diagnostic tools; ability to lift heavy objects; valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required); and an emphasis on safety.
