Job Summary
Assess family readiness by writing home studies, guiding families through licensing processes, and providing post-placement supervision. Build trusting relationships with families and youth while advocating for children's best interests and navigating permanency options. Collaborate with county and tribal agencies, schools, and community resources to ensure comprehensive support. Maintain accurate documentation and uphold regulatory standards while providing ongoing placement support before, during, and after placement. Engage in reflective supervision and peer learning to improve practice outcomes, approaching every family with cultural humility and inclusive practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field
- Willingness to work some evenings and weekends
- Ability to travel to family homes throughout Minnesota
- Valid driver's license
- Insurance
- Reliable vehicle
- Ability to be insurable under agency policy
- Ability to work with and advocate for all clients, regardless of race, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or family type
