Adoption Supervisor - Recruitment & Post Permanency

Job Summary
Oversee recruitment and other planned community events to bring awareness to the community about available children; organize biannual general recruitment events for available children and agency approved waiting families; assign cases and oversee service delivery; ensure safety, permanency, and well-being; coordinate services with community resources and partners; ensure documentation, reporting, and quality assurance per DCF measures; supervise Adoption staff with regular meetings and performance reviews; develop staff training and remediation plans; ensure compliance with contractual requirements and state/federal regulations; collaborate with courts, GAL, and partner agencies; manage adoption home studies, child studies, visitation plans, and transition plans; maintain data reporting and contact with stakeholders; maintain confidentiality and ethical standards; 40-hour work week with travel required; must possess Bachelor's degree and Child Welfare Certification; prior supervisory experience preferred; willingness to complete related trainings within specified timeframes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field
- Current Child Welfare Certification or eligibility upon hire
- Minimum of two (2) years of child welfare related experience
- Prior supervisory experience preferred
- Possession of valid driver’s license and background checks as required by policy
- Ability to travel domestically as required
- Ability to meet training and certification obligations (e.g., Adoption Competency Training, Motivational Interviewing, Trust-Based Relational Intervention)
