Job Summary
Conduct daily animal safety checks, ensuring unauthorized removal from kennels is prevented. Maintain accurate shelter inventory reports and manage offsite adoption center communications. Interview prospective adopters, provide education, and assist with pet visitations and selection. Process incoming donations and receive monies for shelter operations. Ensure proper compliance of adoption paperwork, including vaccination records and contracts. Keep adoption offices and common areas clean through morning scrubbing, litter box maintenance, and general cleaning. Make adoption follow-up calls to adopters and maintain records on out-going animals. Explain and promote shelter programs including foster care and volunteering. Perform other duties as assigned by the Adoption Manager.
Required Qualifications
- MUST be able to lift 50lbs +
- This is a FULL TIME, at least 40 hours a week position which includes working every weekend
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience working with animals is preferred
