Job Summary
Adoption Coordinator role within Kids Central, Inc. Out of Home Care Department. Responsible for organizational consultation on case-specific and community issues with contracted family care management agencies; monitors service quality across out-of-home care, protective services, and adoption-related services; supports corrective action, governance, and collaboration with the Adoption Review Committee. Requires leadership in tracking performance, ensuring adherence to statutory benchmarks, preparing data reports, and providing training to staff. Qualifications emphasize a master’s degree in social services (strongly preferred), a bachelor’s in social services or related field with at least 3 years’ adoption experience, and solid organizational/data management skills. The position involves frequent off-site activities, interaction with contracted agencies, and responsibilities that support permanency and adoption-related outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- A master’s degree in social services is strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in social services or related, and a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Adoptions is required
- Strong organizational and data management skills required
- Ability to clear a Level II Background Screen
- Valid driver’s license and insurable through the agency’s current insurance carrier
- Must carry a personal phone with a voice plan only for business communications during and outside business hours
- Provides leadership and consultation to the management of contracted agencies
- Knowledge of the child welfare system
- Knowledge of computer programs and ability to learn internal systems
- Ability to develop policies and procedures that serve as the agency's operational guidelines and mandates
