Job Summary
Manage nursing unit operations and act as a liaison between units, admissions, and the Director of Nursing. Monitor and evaluate nursing staff, establish qualification requirements, draft procedure manuals, and initiate in-service programs. Ensure safety for all residents by conducting daily chart audits, monitoring medication passes, and addressing survey or standards of care issues regarding weight loss, pressure ulcers, and condition changes. Proactively follow up on resident, family, and employee concerns while assisting in investigations of abuse allegations. Perform personnel management functions including counseling, disciplinary action, and ensuring competency evaluations are completed. Represent the Director of Nursing at community meetings and assume responsibility for nursing operations in their absence.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited School of Nursing
- Valid license
- Valid CPR certification
Desired Qualifications
- 5-10 years of nursing experience preferred
