ADON/Infection Preventionist

Job Summary
Hybrid role combining Assistant Director of Nursing duties with Infection Preventionist responsibilities in a skilled nursing facility. Oversees Nursing Services, staff training, regulatory compliance, QAPI, and leads the Infection Prevention and Control Program per CDC/CMS/state guidelines. Conducts surveillance of healthcare-associated infections, investigates outbreaks, educates staff/residents/families on infection control practices, and maintains records in accordance with facility policies. Requires active RN license in Florida; CIC certification preferred or willingness to obtain within 30 days. On-site, full-time leadership role based in Winter Haven, FL; occasional evenings/weekends and potential on-call rotation. Required Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in Florida
- Preferred: Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in long-term care or skilled nursing
- Previous supervisory or management experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of infection control standards and epidemiology
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
