ADOLESCENT RESIDENTIAL COUNSELOR - 2nd Shift

Job Summary
Provide supervision and clinical/residential support to adolescents in Skyland Trail’s Adolescent Program on the 2nd shift (3:00 pm - 11:30 pm). Duties include supervising clients, documenting behavior and needs for clinical staff, preparing shift change summaries, completing ADL assessments and training clients in daily living and socialization skills, conducting incident reports, leading room checks, transporting clients for community activities and appointments with safe driving practices, facilitating residential groups and client-led community meetings, co-facilitating group and family therapy with lead clinicians, ensuring safety procedures and standards compliance, crisis response, and maintaining program operations. Requires Bachelor’s degree (Masters preferred) and clinical experience; CPI certification and knowledge of emergency procedures, group development, and clinical documentation are valued. Education and licensure expectations include licensure eligibility or active licensure consideration and a preference for advanced degrees in related fields.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in related field (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, Counseling)
- 2 years of clinical experience in mental health
- Licensed Clinician, License-eligible clinician or working towards clinical licensure
Desired Qualifications
- Masters degree preferred
- Licensed Clinician, License-eligible clinician or working towards clinical licensure
- CPI Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience with adolescents and families in a clinical setting
