Job Summary
Adolescent Prevention Specialist responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating prevention programming for youth at the Corewell Health Teen Health Center-Taylor. Duties include developing and delivering after-school, in-school, community, and summer programming focused on alcohol, tobacco, drugs, violence, HIV/STD/pregnancy prevention; facilitating educational presentations; mentoring Peer Educators; data collection and reporting to the State data system; and collaborating with community partners to measure outcomes and improve programs. Requires collaboration with the prevention team, data entry, and generating reports to funders; classification as part-time with daytime hours.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or 4 years prevention experience
- 2 years of relevant experience working with youth in group setting and/or prevention
- Certified Prevention Specialist certification obtained within 2 years of hire
