Job Summary
Perform individualized patient procedures, treatment, and tests while managing associated clerical tasks such as chart preparation, stocking clinic supplies, and answering telephones. Provide advanced assistance with medical clinic operations and monitor clinic flow. Maintain current Medical Assistant certification and Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers. Requires High School Diploma and current Washington State Interim Certification. Compensation ranges from $26.51 to $39.76 per hour for full-time employment. Seattle Children's delivers superior patient care, advances pediatric research, and serves as the largest pediatric and adolescent academic medical center in the Pacific Northwest.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- Current Medical Assistant – Certified designation by Washington Department of Health (DOH)
- Current Interim Certification through WA State can be substituted for up to 12 months from issue date
- Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS)
Desired Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited medical assistant program
- Current National Medical Assistant Association Certification (eligible for premium)
- Current Medical Assistant experience in Pediatrics
- Urgent Care experience
- Medical screening and immunization
