Job Summary
Deliver high-quality instruction for BIO101, BIO201, and BIO202 courses by planning, organizing, and executing lecture and lab activities aligned with Valley College's learning-centered values. Demonstrate procedures, operate designated equipment, and grade student work while providing constructive feedback and reports. Collaborate with the Academics team to ensure curriculum alignment, assist struggling students, and represent the school positively to prospective and current students. Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive student and institutional information. This onsite, part-time role operates Monday through Friday during academic terms, with occasional evening or weekend availability.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate degree in Biology or a closely related discipline
- At least eighteen (18) graduate semester hours in BIO-designated coursework from a regionally accredited institution
- Two (2) or more years of full-time equivalent teaching experience
Desired Qualifications
- Experience integrating instructional technology into teaching and learning
- Experience teaching through an Interactive Video Network (IVN) or comparable remote-delivery platform
