Admixture Technician

Job Summary
Under direct supervision of a physician and/or clinical pharmacist in an outpatient oncology admixture room, the Admixture Technician prepares all medications associated with IV treatments, including chemotherapy, biologics, growth factors, and support medications. Responsibilities include assisting with drug inventory and running/reviewing daily reports of drug utilization, maintaining the pharmacy environment to OSHA standards, and demonstrating safe handling and disposal of chemotherapy. The technician may serve as a resource to clinical and billing staff regarding drug dispensing and preparation. An LPN with infusion and/or pharmacy experience will be considered for this role. The position supports the Oklahoma Cancer Specialists and Research Institute Compliance Program. Part-time hours may increase to full-time during periods of low coverage.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year of experience in a pharmacy setting
- Certified Pharmacy Technician certificate or State Pharmacy Board requirements preferred
- Completion of an ASHP and/or Pharmacy Technician Certification Board accredited program or college-based program highly desired
