Job Summary
Admixture Tech II responsible for preparing hazardous and nonhazardous medications under the supervision of the dispensing practitioner, with expertise in sterile product preparation and PPE usage. Maintains records and logs, orders and inventories medications and supplies, collaborates with Physicians, Nursing, Pharmacy Operations, Financial Counselors, and Procurement, and performs duties ensuring patient safety and regulatory compliance (USP <797>, USP <800>, OSHA, NIOSH). Requires travel 75-100% for floats, with a Monday–Friday schedule. Must maintain confidentiality and adhere to background and vaccination requirements. Education and licensure include a high school diploma or equivalent and professional pharmacy technician certification; CPhT preferred. Skills include critical thinking, communication, customer service, time management, and proficiency in MS Office; ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; College degree preferred; Professional pharmacy technician certification (or equivalent), required; preferably Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) from PTCB; Minimum of one year experience as a pharmacy or admixture technician; IV sterile admixture experience, preferred
