Job Summary

Admitting Coordinator/Social Worker coordinates social services for seniors at St. Joseph's Residence. Responsibilities include handling inquiry calls, sending information packets, conducting in-house tours, assisting residents with insurance information, taking residents to the Social Security office or bank, presenting information to residents and families, coordinating applications for benefits and programs, maintaining resident information and application status, attending community meetings to educate about Senior Social Services, completing admissions paperwork, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. Requires High School Diploma or GED, CPR certification, Florida driver’s license, proficiency with office/clinical software, and English literacy. May supervise as interim department lead and must perform other duties as assigned. Physical duties include lifting/moving up to 50 pounds and pushing/pulling up to 250+ pounds.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
  • 2-3 years of experience in a social services healthcare setting (preferred)
  • CPR Certification
  • Valid state of Florida Driver's license
  • Knowledge of computer office/clinical software
  • Ability to read, write and understand the English language
  • Assist residents with information regarding insurance and social security
