Job Summary
Serves as the initial point of contact for individuals in Monarch's Crisis Services. Communicates effectively with referral sources, enters screening and referral information in the electronic health record, and facilitates completion of supporting documentation. Presents a summary to the Interdisciplinary team for determination, follows up with referral sources on outcomes, and completes prior authorization within defined timeframes. Gathers information to establish medical necessity using clinical data to justify initial and continued services for youth at the site to payors, and makes recommendations to the Interdisciplinary team if authorization is unlikely prior to program end. Participates in meetings and training, completes documentation in the EHR, maintains current licensure and certification, and performs record audits. May participate in on-call and after-hours coverage, including weekends and holidays; driving and travel may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree
- 2-4 years of experience
- Experience working with children/adolescents with a mental health diagnosis and/or substance use disorder
- Qualified Professional (QP) - Monarch-DSM
- Ability to complete documentation in EHR and maintain licensure/certification as required
- Strong communication with referral sources and interdisciplinary team
