Admissions RN

Review medical documentation, complete medication reconciliation, and obtain admission orders from physicians for all incoming patients. Conduct assessments to determine the appropriate level of care, perform insurance benefit verifications, and secure initial pre-authorization for treatment. Facilitate emergency transfers for patients presenting with conditions outside the facility's capabilities and coordinate care for those not being admitted to ensure appropriate follow-up. Admit patients to the registration and accounting system, complete all necessary consent forms, and inventory patient belongings. Utilize web-based programs to track referrals and communicate projected admissions to internal representatives promptly. Monitor patient status throughout the process in accordance with facility policy and physician orders.
