Job Summary
Admissions RN coordinates all aspects of a patient’s admission from initial intake to program admission, educates families regarding hospice services, and collaborates with hospital, nursing home, or other admissions staff to ensure a smooth experience. Responsible for gathering intake information, completing admissions paperwork, coordinating with referral sources, conducting clinical evaluations, and serving as a clinical resource for marketing staff. This role conducts admissions personally when available and ensures timely implementation of the admissions process. Must hold an active RN license in the operating state; prior management experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a Registered Nurse licensed in the state of operation.
- Must be knowledgeable regarding high quality hospice care and be able to personally provide patient care. Must be able to complete admissions paperwork properly, in accordance with company policy and hospice regulations, etc.
- Must possess good communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, be outgoing, perceptive and self motivated with the ability to work harmoniously with a wide variety of people.
