Job Summary
Admissions Representative PRN Weekends — serve as the first contact with referral sources, manage referrals, and relay leads to the business development team under the Admission Manager. Responsibilities include billing and insurance verification, obtaining pre-admission paperwork and documentation, ensuring completion of pre-admission requirements for the business development team, and supporting daily operational duties with the Admission Manager and Director of Business Development. Requires valid driver’s license and at least 1 year of related experience; healthcare environment experience is preferred. Strong communication, organization, and confidentiality skills are essential; role involves weekend, PRN scheduling and a collaborative, high-volume workflow.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- A minimum of 1 year experience in similar or related role
- Clinical experience in an acute care setting, preferred
- Familiarity with insurance products and payors, preferred
- Knowledge of healthcare compliance requirements
- Exceptional customer service with ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Professional demeanor with excellent communications skills
- Ability to be flexible and function under high volume conditions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Detail-oriented, able to meet strict time frames
