Job Summary
Admissions Representative responsible for acting as the first contact with referral sources, coordinating referrals and communication to the business development team, performing insurance verifications and pre-admission documentation, and ensuring completion of pre-admission requirements under the direction of the Admission Manager. The role supports daily operational duties with the Admission Manager and Director of Business Development, including billing, census-related tasks, and maintaining relevant records, while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining patient confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- A minimum of 1 year experience in similar or related role
- Clinical experience in an acute care setting, preferred
- Familiarity with insurance products and payors, preferred
- Knowledge of Healthcare Compliance Requirements: Exceptional customer service with ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Professional demeanor with excellent communications skills
- Ability to be flexible and function under high volume conditions
- Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Detail-oriented, able to meet strict time frames
