Job Summary
Admissions Representative responsible for maintaining admission guidelines and assisting with referral management, acting as the first contact with referral sources, and communicating leads to the business development team under the direction of the Admission Manager. Duties include coordinating management of referrals, billing and insurance verification, obtaining and maintaining pre-admission records and compliance paperwork, and supporting daily operational duties with the Admission Manager and Director of Business Development. Requires a valid driver’s license and at least 1 year of related experience; clinical acute-care experience and healthcare compliance knowledge are preferred. Must demonstrate strong organizational, time management, prioritization, analytical and critical thinking skills, and excellent verbal and written communication with a focus on patient confidentiality and exceptional customer service.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- A minimum of 1 year experience in similar or related role
- Clinical experience in an acute care setting, preferred
- Familiarity with insurance products and payors, preferred
- Knowledge of healthcare compliance requirements
- Strong organizational and critical thinking skills
- Exceptional customer service with ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Professional demeanor with excellent communications skills
- Ability to be flexible and function under high volume conditions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
