Job Summary
Admissions/Program Counselor for IOTSS / Partial Care responsible for performing comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments on adults 18+ seeking outpatient mental health services, coordinating intake within 24 hours, formulating diagnoses, documenting assessments (including MSE, provisional diagnosis, risk category and treatment plan), understanding psychotropic medications, and facilitating referrals to internal or external programs. Exercises service coordination, supports crisis intervention when needed, manages a small caseload, completes third-party billing documentation, and participates in supervision and meetings; requires master’s degree in a mental health field and NJ licensure with a commitment to trauma-informed care and a collaborative, client-centered approach. Must maintain CPR/First Aid certification and demonstrate computer proficiency; benefits include medical/dental, retirement, PTO/holidays, EAP, and training opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in social work, mental health counseling, or another recognized mental health discipline
- NJ licensure as LSW, LAC, LAMFT, LCSW, LPC, or LMFT
- Experience working with adults with a wide range of emotional and behavioral needs
- Required CPR/First Aid certification
