Job Summary
The Admissions/PPS Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the admission process to the rehabilitation unit, performing pre-admission screenings, reviewing clinical and financial information, and communicating with the Medical Director regarding admission status. This position requires oversight of data collection on the IRF-PAI, ensuring compliance with CMS guidelines, and staff education. Additionally, it demands clinical skills to manage the CMS program from admission to discharge, particularly for Medicare patients.
Required Qualifications
- Current Missouri Registered Nurse license or current Registered Nurse license from a compact state
- AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers within 60 days
- Must pass Patient Care Orientation (PCO) within 30 days if no recent hospital experience
