Admissions & Enrollment Coordinator (Early Care & Education)

Job Summary

Coordinate daily operations for the Admissions & Enrollment Department, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and agency regulations for Head Start, Early Head Start, CSPP, and CCTR programs. Provide technical assistance and training to staff on eligibility determination, enrollment documentation, and contract requirements while maintaining audit-ready child files. Conduct intake interviews to verify family eligibility, process enrollments, and coordinate health record processing with the Health Services department. Monitor funded enrollment levels, manage waitlists, and track attendance data across Child Plus, CDMIS, and CDE systems. Generate monthly reports on enrollment turnover, eligibility, and family fees for management review and fiscal submission.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in accounting, business, social science, human services, or a related field
  • 3+ years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3 to 5 years experience working in an administrative/quality assurance role in a publicly funded program (city/state/federal) that serves low-income children, youth, and/or families
  • Experience including administration or other direct service experience determining eligibility
  • Experience using sophisticated data platforms/systems at the city, state and/or federal level
  • Current Physical Health Screening (every 2 years thereafter)
  • Fingerprinting Clearance (DOJ)
  • Clearance Child Abuse Index
  • Tuberculosis Test/ Clearance
  • Current CPR & First Aid Certificate (every 2 years thereafter)
  • Valid State of California Driver's License (current auto insurance and a clean driving record.)
  • Position requires in-person office location and set hours

Desired Qualifications

  • Strongly preferred; Child Plus, CDMIS, Microsoft Office and Excell
  • Bilingual Fluency English/Spanish preferred
