Admissions Counselor

Job Summary

Develop and implement recruitment strategies for assigned territories to generate inquiries, applications, and deposits that achieve enrollment goals. Coordinate and evaluate admissions events, assess program effectiveness, and determine cost analyses to improve future programming. Enter new leads, update student profiles, and generate enrollment reports in the University's CRM system. Advise students and families on admission requirements, transfer guidelines, financial aid, and scholarship information. Review admission applications, evaluate credentials, and provide recommendations for the Executive Director of Admissions and the Admissions Review Committee. Serve as the University's admissions liaison to territorial high schools, universities, churches, and other organizations. Complete out-of-office travel for admissions-related events and be present in the office daily during the non-travel season. Adhere to NACAC and NACCAP Principles of Good Practice and the University's Strategic Plan.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree required
  • Experience working in a professional office environment
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently and effectively solve problems and initiate and implement projects independently
  • Ability to multi-task with accuracy and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to adapt and work effectively in a varied-paced or fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with diverse populations
  • Ability to work longer hours during busier recruitment/admissions periods, which includes evenings and weekends
  • Must be self-motivated
  • has excellent written communication skills
  • the ability to work well with faculty, staff, and students
  • Must have excellent oral communication and public presentations skills
  • Proficient in computer programs including Windows, Outlook, Word and Excel, and navigating the internet
  • A belief in the deity of and commitment to Jesus Christ and the Christian faith, as interpreted through the historic witness of Scripture and the continuing ministry of the Holy Spirit
  • The practice of following Christ through day-to-day personal lifestyle choices

Desired Qualifications

  • Fluent in Spanish language, both conversational and written
  • Experienced with using the Slate CRM system
