Job Summary
Admissions Counselor – Outdoor Recreation for UMF: manage recruitment territories across Maine and New England, design and implement marketing/recruitment strategies, educate prospective students and families through the admissions process, collaborate with the OR Department and OR Grant Manager, evaluate applications, and help organize on- and off-campus events (Open Houses, Accepted Student Days). Requires a Bachelor's degree, travel ability, valid driver’s license, strong communication/public speaking skills, CRM proficiency, and a commitment to diverse student populations. Grant-funded role with salary up to $45,300 plus 10% employer retirement contribution; benefits include medical, dental, vision, and tuition waivers for employees and dependents.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
- Valid driver’s license
- Top-notch communication and public speaking skills
- Ability to travel extensively to meet students where they are
- Knowledge of CRM platforms and modern technologies
- Cultural competency and advocacy for students with marginalized identities
