Job Summary
Admissions Counselor recruits and guides prospective students through the admissions process by managing an assigned territory, cultivating relationships with schools and counselors, and representing the College at events. This role promotes the College’s programs, supports enrollment goals, and ensures a positive applicant experience through effective communication and collaboration. Responsibilities include high school visits, college fairs, Open Houses and interviews, travel within the designated territory, collaboration with financial aid and other offices, and ongoing recruitment activities to increase inquiries, applications, and enrolled students while maintaining reporting and presentation duties.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 6-12 months of experience in recruitment, public relations, marketing or related field
- excellent verbal, written, and presentation/communications skills
- excellent interpersonal skills
- effective time management and organizational abilities
- strong customer service skills
- experience with office equipment and technology (Word, PowerPoint)
- must be willing to travel extensively
- valid driver’s license
- regular evening and weekend work required
- Spanish speaking preferred
