Admissions Counselor

Conduct direct recruitment activities including public speaking, develop linkage with referral resources such as human services agencies, recreation centers, youth organizations and churches, and participate in center tours to contact potential enrollees. Interview interested candidates, obtain required information, ensure all eligibility documents are properly completed and included in applicant folders, and arrange reception for accepted candidates. Follow up on student progress regarding length of stay and separation. This role involves guiding young adults toward valuable career paths and educational opportunities in compliance with government and management directives at the Los Angeles Job Corps Center.
