Job Summary
Advise San Antonio area students on admission requirements, academic offerings, and enrollment opportunities. Build partnerships with local high school counselors, community college representatives, and organizations throughout the region. Visit schools to present programs, host events, and recruit during TACRAO season. Communicate application statuses and file information to students, parents, and counselors via phone, email, and text. Prepare weekly recruitment reports and reconcile monthly travel statements. Coordinate regional admission events, the annual Counselor Update, and the Border Run TACRAO college fair schedule. This role resides within the San Antonio region to support recruitment activities and represents the university at regional events.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- One (1) year of related experience
- Associate's degree and three (3) years of related experience
- Ability to travel
- Ability to work irregular hours including weekends
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills
- Customer service skills
- Written communication skills
- Verbal communication skills
- Intermediate skills with personal computers
- Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated ability to plan and organize events
- Ability to learn TAMU-CC admissions, academic offerings, services, and student opportunities
