Admissions Counselor II - PRN (WG)

Conduct telephonic and in-person risk assessments, crisis interventions, and initial contacts with referral sources and potential patients. Coordinate the referral and intake process, complete required computer data entry, and determine appropriate levels of care. Perform face-to-face clinical assessments including history of presenting illness and family dynamics, while obtaining insurance authorizations and documenting patient signatures. Greets arriving family members and patients, escorts them to the waiting room, and explains the admissions process. Communicate pertinent clinical information for unit hand-offs and participate in continuing education. Maintain infection control practices and prepare the midnight census. Work every other Saturday, Sunday, and Wednesday from 11:00am to 11:30pm with shift differential and 401k eligibility.
