Job Summary
Admissions Coordinator for a healthcare facility (Temporary) coordinates admissions processes, serves as a direct liaison between the facility and hospital discharge planners, and manages referrals, eligibility screening, and admission paperwork. Responsibilities include developing and implementing facility marketing plans, leading admission and census meetings, ordering marketing materials, generating census and other required reports, maintaining relationships with referral sources and residents’ families, and ensuring proper payor source identification, authorization, Medicare screening, and admission contracts. Requires strong interpersonal/organizational skills, healthcare customer service experience, computer proficiency, and knowledge of reimbursement; medical terminology is preferred. Reports to the Administrator and supports post-admission/public relations activities.
