Job Summary
Coordinate admissions activity for all patients by directing tasks, completing paperwork with appropriate signatures, and inputting data into the patient accounting system. Verify insurance coverage, benefits, and billing information, then communicate referral and admission details to managed care companies, physicians, case managers, and nursing staff. Maintain accurate referral logs, admission statuses, and patient listings while implementing processes to improve information flow to clinical departments. Assess safety risks and implement precautions in compliance with infection control standards. Requires one year of experience in a medical business or admissions office, current driver's license, and ability to work independently.
Required Qualifications
- One (1) year experience in Business Office or Admissions Office in a medical setting
- Must maintain acceptable driving record
