Job Summary
Admissions Coordinator responsible for guiding potential patients through admissions, performing clinical pre-screening, verifying benefits, completing documentation, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely and appropriate placement in a fast-paced behavioral health setting. Provides compassionate, professional communication to patients and families, ensures HIPAA-compliant handling of information, and supports care transitions with accuracy and attention to detail.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or higher
- Previous experience in healthcare, customer service, admissions, or behavioral health
- Familiarity with substance use treatment and/or recovery-based programming (including 12-step principles) is a plus
- Familiarity with Salesforce and/or Kipu EMR preferred
- Experience completing verification of benefits (VOB) to support timely and accurate treatment admissions is strongly preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high level of professionalism and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining accuracy
- Ability to remain calm and solutions-focused when supporting individuals and families during high-stress situations
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow all HIPAA and regulatory guidelines
