ADMISSIONS COORDINATOR

Job Summary
The Admissions Coordinator represents Athelas Institute to families, individuals, schools, transition coordinators, CCSs and others, serving as the liaison to educate about services and facilitate placement. Responsibilities include attending transition fairs and coordinating referrals, understanding placement criteria for multiple services, creating advertising materials, completing intake paperwork, conducting in-person interviews and tours, coordinating with nursing, clinical, and other departments, chairing the ARD meeting and distributing minutes, maintaining referrals lists, and ensuring service plans and admissions are completed. Requires a Bachelor’s degree (preferred) and experience with adults with I/DD, strong writing and verbal communication, a professional demeanor, and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Office-based with sedentary work, some filing, and potential travel for tours and meetings; standard clerical environment and benefits package described.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Ed, Psychology, Family Services, or related field is preferred
- Experience in services for adults with I/DD
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
- Polished professional with warm demeanor
- Use of a car and a clean driving record
