Job Summary
Conduct clinical assessments and evaluations for prospective patients, interviewing families to determine eligibility and treatment appropriateness. Perform crisis intervention sessions, verify insurance benefits, and manage patient data within the Electronic Health Record and County systems. Complete progress notes, admission paperwork, and referrals while coordinating with the Program Director and participating in daily meetings. Establish contacts with agencies to increase referrals and ensure compliance with confidentiality laws and licensing requirements. Maintain 100% completion of all admission documentation and attend required training sessions.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in social work, Marriage and Family Therapy or related field
- AMFT or ACSW with current California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) Registration
- Must maintain licensure as a condition of employment
- Must maintain a valid credential (if required for your position) during the course of your employment
- Must obtain TB test clearance and update on a yearly basis
- Ability to actively engage with clients in a substance abuse and mental health treatment environment
- Stress tolerance
- Ability to lift and move object as much as 25 pounds with or without assistance
- Ability to conduct First Aid and CPR in the event of an emergency
- Required to undergo regular health screenings such as but not limited to TB test, Covid testing, vaccinations, etc
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Substance Abuse or Mental Health preferred
- Experience with SAPC, DMH, Community Care Licensing, and other governing bodies preferred
- LMFT or LCSW with current California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) Registration a plus
- Evidenced-Based Trained/Certified in MAP, TF-CBT, SS preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
