Job Summary
Manage the admission process by collecting information and funds, securing bed holds, and processing daily census data. Conduct facility tours and interviews with prospective residents and families, while reviewing hospital referral information to make admission decisions based on center policy. Coordinate admissions by researching inquiries, completing required documentation, and communicating with referred agencies and nursing staff regarding placement feasibility. Assist the Director of Admissions and Social Services with networking, developing referral targets, and maintaining census development through occupancy tracking. Notify staff of scheduled admissions, LOAs, and discharges, and update computer systems to reflect changes.
Required Qualifications
- High School Education
- Health Care experience
- Ability to walk, stand or sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to kneel, crawl, reach, and grasp
- Ability to pull up to 20 lbs
- Ability to push up to 50 lbs
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to handle confidential information with great sensitivity
- Understanding that this position may require overtime

Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in a long-term care setting
- Demonstrated experience working in public relations and/or sales promotion
