Job Summary
Respond promptly to inbound inquiries from families, often within minutes of submission. Conduct warm, consultative calls to understand student grade levels, academic profiles, goals, and current admissions stages. Ask discovery questions to determine family needs, discuss U.S. college admissions topics including testing and timelines, and build trust through professional communication. Qualify strong-fit families and schedule them for consultations with appropriate counselors. Maintain detailed notes on conversations and next steps in the CRM. Follow up with families who do not answer the initial call and ensure qualified leads receive timely outreach. Work from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM PT with occasional evening calls as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience
- significant experience in phone-based roles
- Strong working knowledge of the U.S. high school and college admissions process
- Ability to comfortably discuss a student's academic profile, including grade level, coursework, transcript strength, testing, and admissions timelines
- Fluent, clear, and highly professional spoken English with a warm and confident phone presence
- Strong listening, discovery, and qualification skills
- Comfortable having consultative conversations with parents and guiding them toward the appropriate next step
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when documenting calls and managing follow-ups
- Comfortable working from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM PT, with occasional evening calls as needed
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with admissions counselors and the broader team
Desired Qualifications
- Background in college admissions consulting, educational technology (EdTech), or a U.S. college/university
- Previous experience in an inbound sales, admissions, enrollment, or high-volume call environment
- Experience working with CRM or lead management systems
- Experience qualifying prospective families and scheduling consultations or appointments
