Admission Specialist

Job Summary
Coordinate admissions and intake processes for new clients, facilitating screenings by phone and in-person to assess eligibility and service needs. Respond to referrals promptly, document information in designated systems, and maintain program census and waiting lists. Complete admission documentation including releases of information, residency verification, and financial records while collaborating with clinical and billing teams to ensure accurate processing. Build positive relationships with referral sources, clients, and team members, and provide administrative support through chart reviews, filing, and record organization. Correct documentation deficiencies within established timeframes and enter accurate client data within required databases.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
- Current valid driver's license in state of residence with an acceptable driving record
- Current automobile insurance as required by law
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to establish rapport and create a welcoming atmosphere
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Knowledge of confidentiality requirements related to behavioral health and substance use treatment services
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Successful completion of background screenings, including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect, and fingerprint checks
- Must obtain First Aid certification within three (3) months of employment and maintain certification thereafter
- Must obtain CPR certification within three (3) months of employment and maintain certification thereafter
- Must complete required Behavioral Management training within thirty (30) days of employment or at the first available class following hire
