Admission Nurse

The Admissions Nurse assesses, admits, and transitions patients into the appropriate level of care, performing initial patient evaluations and verifying medical history to determine care needs. Collaborates with physicians, care managers, and healthcare staff to ensure accurate admissions, documents in the EMR, coordinates orders/treatments per admission protocol, and contributes to care planning and patient education. Maintains compliant documentation, participates in quality improvement initiatives, and upholds privacy, safety, and infection-control standards while providing reliable, cross-department support and ensuring patient understanding of services and post-admission care.
