Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day operations for an assigned hospice location, managing interdisciplinary teams and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and Medicare conditions of participation. Lead strategic initiatives to drive census expansion, financial performance, and quality improvement while collaborating with the Governing Body to establish performance goals. Direct human resources functions, including hiring, supervision, and evaluation of staff, alongside managing office operations, budgeting, and vendor contracts. Process emergency calls, investigate incidents, and maintain accurate documentation of patient care and service delivery. This role supports Gentiva's mission to provide compassionate care across nearly 600 locations nationwide, requiring an RN with leadership experience in hospice or home health.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with minimum of Associate's Degree in Nursing
- Minimum one year management/supervisory experience
- Two or more years' experience in hospice/home care
- Meets all state-specific requirements for the Administrator role
- Current license to practice nursing in the state of requested employment
- CPR Certification
- Current automobile insurance and valid driver's license
- Strong understanding of hospice regulations, compliance, and Medicare conditions of participation
- Proven ability to manage teams, budgets, and interdisciplinary operations
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Commitment to high-quality, compassionate care for patients and families
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing
- Three to five years' healthcare sales/ management experience
- Three years' experience in direct patient care in a clinical setting
