Job Summary
Lead the day-to-day operations for an assigned Hospice location, directing interdisciplinary teams and ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care while managing financial resources and office functions. Oversee human resources, including hiring, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions, while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and accrediting agency requirements. Monitor quality through statistical analysis, review monthly budgets and expense requests, and process emergency calls to assist with patient problems. Collaborate with the Governing Body to establish goals, develop policies, and recommend new service areas, ensuring accurate documentation and timely incident reporting. May participate in an on-call schedule and conduct routine visits to patient homes or institutional settings.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with minimum of Associate's Degree in Nursing
- Minimum one year management/supervisory experience
- Two or more years' experience in hospice/home care
- Meets all state-specific requirements for the Administrator role
- Current license to practice nursing in the state of requested employment
- CPR Certification
- Current automobile insurance and valid driver's license
- Strong understanding of hospice regulations, compliance, and Medicare conditions of participation
- Proven ability to manage teams, budgets, and interdisciplinary operations
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Commitment to high-quality, compassionate care for patients and families
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing
- Three to five years' healthcare sales/management experience
- Three years' experience in direct patient care in a clinical setting
